I would like to share my experience with Horan & McConaty Funeral Home. First and foremost, I would to give thanks to the Impeccable service we received from the Funeral Director Patrick Atencio! He not only was available at any time when I had questions, he also made me and my family feel at ease during our difficult time!! His excellent communication skills and thorough process was wonderful! His amazing and caring form of being was truly helpful to our needs. Thank you Patrick, the Garza and Oreiro family truly appreciate your service!!!!

I’m not sure this is the right avenue, but I just wanted others to know about my experience at the Grant location. Patrick is exceptional at his chosen career. He is organized, compassionate, professional, and immediately develops a sense of trust and wellbeing. It’s difficult to lose your Mom, but Patrick was available 24/7. He called daily to see if I was okay or if I had questions. He guided, responded, and I felt he was genuine. You are very fortunate to have Patrick represent Horan & McConaty.

Our family recently used Horan & McConaty Funeral Service for my mom’s service, and I truly don’t have enough words to express how grateful we are. From the very first phone call, Patrick Atencio made us feel supported. He was patient, kind, and never once made us feel pressured or taken advantage of during such a difficult time. He gently guided us through every step and answered every question (no matter the time of day). Patrick made sure we understood everything so we could make the best decisions for our family. He gave us a clear checklist and timeline that helped us keep on track. After everything was over, he reached out to check on my dad. That meant a lot. We also had a request that was a little out of the ordinary, and Patrick didn’t hesitate. He made it happen without making it feel like a burden. That kind of care meant so much to our family. Rod Guthals was just as incredible. He was there every step of the way, and the small, thoughtful touches he added made everything feel so personal. Patrick helps us through a difficult time with such patience and understanding. No one looks forward to meeting with someone about a memorial service for a loved one, however he made the planning and understanding of what needed to be done easier and something we could face with his help. Everyone at the Grant street location has my upmost respect and thank you for all of your care and help. Their help along with catering and recommended Pastor made my mom's memorial service beautiful. Blessings to you all.

If you're here reading this, then that means that things aren't going well... I totally understand. Kudos for being the one pressing in to find the BEST options for your beloved. I was fortunate, my Mom found Horan & McConaty (H&M) back in the 2000's and set up a contract with them for her arrangements; all I had to do was call them. And that's all I did. They took care of the rest while including me in the whole process! She passed of cancer at 88 in hospice at home on a Friday night, and the H&M team worked seamlessly with hospice! From when we called until when Sara, her transport arrived, it was less than an hour. She was respectful, present, and incredibly strong! (We had to transport her down some very steep and narrow stairs.) During the next few days, I had calls, texts, and emails from the Director of H&M, Patrick Atencio (a greater man I could not have imagined) for this process! There are alot of moving parts in the funeral process and Patrick's savoir faire could not have been more appropriate! My utmost council is that you can stop looking, Patrick and his team at Horan & McConaty will take care of you like they did for us! Absolutely No Regrets, only Gratitude!

The staff at Horan & McConaty went above and beyond for our dad’s funeral. From the initial meeting to the reception, there was not a single detail missed. Everyone was so compassionate and friendly. We had to have the funeral and reception at a different location and our funeral director was not able to attend but he made sure every single detail was taken care of. It was like the staff at the new location was at the initial meeting! Everything was so beautifully put together from the slide show to the memorabilia to the food at the reception. I wish we would have used them for mom’s funeral. We are so grateful and thankful for everything they did for us. We definitely recommend them and will be telling anyone who needs a referral in the future.

H&M did a great job with my mother's funeral, and the chapel in the Thornton location was perfect for the service. My family's approach was probably a little non-standard in a few areas and H&M accommodated us seamlessly. I really appreciated Michael's communication style. Good people.

They always provide exceptional service, professionalism, care and understanding during difficult times. My extended family has used them for many years now (generations even) and unfortunately the time came to use them personally for my father. The ability to utilize their facilities, work with them and their understanding of some of our cultural needs and wishes are something that cannot be understated. Also, especially, the work done on the body for the open casket made it look just like he was peacefully sleeping. The service was beautiful and we are so grateful to them for hosting another Hmong funeral.
